Demographics
Our community includes activists, artists, and academics, primarily aged 35
to 60, living in urban and peri-urban areas across South Africa. We centre
LGBTQIA+ individuals, with a focus on Trans and Intersex persons, Queer
women, Gay men, and Cis and Trans feminists. Our space is designed to
affirm and support those engaged in creative and justice-driven work.
Challenges
Transport to Rosendal may pose a hurdle for participants, making
accessibility a concern. To address this, the program will need to be fully
funded to provide reliable transportation options. Additionally, the area faces
ongoing issues with load shedding and intermittent water supply, which
could impact the smooth running of activities and require contingency planning.
